As of version 4.0, enhancements to ProPath make easy to use CapeSoft's SecWin security template to control user login.

It works with both normal applications and with those where you have multiple data sets.

Configuring ProPath

Configuring ProPath to work with SecWin is easy!

On the Login tab of the global template extension just check this box:

Configuring SecWin

Configuring SecWin to work with ProPath is easy too!

Go to the Files tab of the SecWin global extension, then follow the instructions below:

clip0019

All you need to do to tell SecWin where to put the security file is to check the Position option on the Files tab of the SecWin template.

Then enter the name of the ProPath variable for the folder that you want to use.

This will normally be:

FOLDER:MAINData - if you want to force the file into the MAIN data folder (with default variable name)

FOLDER:SYSTEMData - if you want to force the file into the MAIN data folder (with default variable name)

or use the name of the variable that you used when defining an OTHER data path.

In example if you defined a variable called Security, you will refer to it here as FOLDER:Security (which uses the variable name for the data path, not the object name).
