●New Live Video Image Capture feature

The Live Video Image Capture feature uses the Windows API so you can capture images direct from a WebCam (or similar camera) without the need for a TWAIN driver.  This functionality replaces the old Load From WebCam feature in the image editor and it can also be called without the editor.

●New Scan2PDF feature

The Scan2PDF feature allows you to scan using the TWAIN interface directly into a PDF file without the need to bring the scanned page into the image editor.  There is also an option to view the PDF (with the default viewer for the computer) after it is created.

 

Note that there is a similar function in ProScan that allows you to Scan2PDF using scanner profiles for even more flexibility.

 

 

●Printing or creating a PDF from the Full Screen Preview

The ProImage Full Screen Previewer now has the ability to print or create a PDF file directly from that screen using buttons on the toolbar.  There is also an option to set the PDF compression on the pulldown menu.

 

 

●Dynamic DLL Loading

ProImage now supports Dynamic DLL loading for API calls.  This totally eliminates all problems with version specific files and gets rid of the "Duplicate Symbol" error no matter what version of Clarion your using.

 

 

●.CCL Files Renamed

The include files for the working source code have been renamed from .ccl to .clw and the templates updated accordingly.  This means that it is no longer necessary to modify the RED (redirection) file to support them in C5.5 and C6.  It also means that no modification at all to the redirection file is needed in C7.

 

 

●Translation File Included

A text file called TransProImage.txt has been included (in the ProSeries/ProImage folder for C55/C6 and in the Vendor/ProImage folder on C7) that contains all the text from the class files.  Use this to add the Misc strings to your Clarion translation program (such as BoTran).

 

 

●New Installer

ProImage has a new installer that supports:

* Clarion 5.5

* Clarion 6.x

* Clarion 7.x

 

This is a smart installer that allows you to install ProImage for multiple versions of Clarion without overwriting entries in the Add/Remove programs.  You can also uninstall one version without removing the other.

 

 

●Other Items

There were numerous other fixes and improvements too numerous to mention here.
